Happy Mother's Day to all.......from Acra Construction
Saturday was spent at the Quail Creek Business Expo 2011. There were just over 100 different vendors and community organizations. We met a lot of great people from the Quail Creek Community as well as the neighboring communities. Our booth was so busy I didn't get a chance to take any pictures, we ran out of our pens, business cards, and brochures. We look forward to following up with several of the people we met at the expo and look forwarding to participating again next year.
This week we are working on removing two large 8 ft. sliding glass doors and replacing them with windows. Owners of the home wanted to reduce the amount of heat loss from the large sliding glass doors. Next week we'll be tiling the floor in this Arizona room. More pictures available in our Photo Album.
One of our tile and stone suppliers is introducing their new limestone collection of tile and stone. Limestone is a sedimentary rock consisting primarily of calcium carbonate. Their collection is composed of 12 different colors from six different countries. Shades are available in gray, green, blue, brown, yellow and red. Limestone is durable and resilient material although the surface will dissolve when exposed to acids, such as citrus, juice, vinegar, coffee, and wine. To help preserve the beauty of the stone and to protect the stone we recommend you seal the limestone. You can use this product for counter tops, bathrooms, and floors.
We missed the major rains and had maybe 1/3 of an inch so we survived any roof issues. The roofers will complete the roof today. You maybe asking why the beefed up patio cover. We built the roof with 16 inch on center rafters. Eventually there will be a staircase leading up to the patio roof so you can see across the valley to the Santa Rita Mountains.
More pictures available in our picture album under Exterior Patio Cover.
Starting Day 3 most of the beams are in place. Must complete the plywood install today since roofer is scheduled for Day 4. Rain is approximately 6 hours away.
